Re: The Paragraph Writing Strategy

I'm about to burst!!! Today I did post-testing with M. and J. in the paragraph strategies class. Before instruction, J. scored a 35% on his Paragraph score sheet. Today, he scored a 78%!!! He was impressed.

M. (who missed about 6 or 7 classes) began the course with 0% on his first writing sample. He had no concept of paragraph. Today, he scored (get ready for this one....) 85%!

These strategies are powerful! OK, this is why I teach. Today I really, really, really love my job.

On Fundamentals of Sentence Writing Strategy Class

A very practical approach to teaching sentence writing. I love it! It is very sequential and logical. I would highly recommend this program to all teachers, 3rd grade and up. It is so easy to implement (once you get past the initial organization) and so easy to follow. And best of all, It Works!!
